Discover the best practices for cleaning, polishing, and protecting your furniture, empowering you to preserve its aesthetic appeal and functionality for years to come.
Steel
Maintaining steel furniture is a straightforward task that keeps it looking fresh and clean. To preserve its appearance, avoid using abrasive cleaners or scrubbing pads to prevent surface scratches. Instead, regularly clean the furniture with a soft cloth dampened in a mild detergent and warm water solution. Afterward, ensure thorough drying with a soft cloth. Steer clear of bleach or detergents containing sulphuric or hydrochloric acid, and refrain from using steel wool or scouring pads that may cause damage to the metal surface.
Aluminium
To keep your aluminium furniture in optimal condition, we recommend a freshwater rinse as the primary washing method. Dry the furniture with a towel as needed.
For minor concerns such as clouding or light dirt accumulation, a wipe down with a microfibre cloth every 2-3 months will suffice to maintain its appearance. This is especially important if you are located near the beach to prevent salt build-up. Avoid using harsh chemicals, such as acetone, as powder coated finishes offer excellent resistance to rust, corrosion, peeling, and fading. Instead, regularly clean the surface with warm water and mild detergent using a non-abrasive brush or sponge. After cleaning, rinse thoroughly with clean water and wipe dry with a soft cloth.
Glass
For glass care, it’s important to regularly dust glass surfaces with a soft, dry cloth to keep them looking pristine. When it comes to cleaning, use a glass cleaner following the instructions on the bottle. Avoid applying glass cleaners to surrounding surfaces or to the frosted side of frosted glass. The easiest and most effective method to clean glass is by using glass cleaner along with paper towels or a lint-free towel.
Ash Wood
To care for ash wood, regular cleaning and dusting are crucial for preserving its beauty. Use a soft cloth or microfibre duster to gently remove dust and debris, avoiding harsh chemicals and abrasive cleaners. If any spills occur, be sure to blot them immediately.
Please note that the colour of the wood stain may change or fade over time. In such cases, we recommend reaching out to us to find the relevant supplier for the stain used. Before applying oil, consider sanding the unit using high grit sandpaper (400 grit or higher) to open the pores and facilitate easy absorption of a fresh coat of oil. Follow the guidelines provided by the relevant suppliers on applying oil to an existing coat, as application methods can vary with different products.
Pine Wood
To maintain pine wood furniture, avoid using plain water and acidic products. Instead, use a wood soap mixed with hot water to remove dirt and grime effectively. Silicone-based cleaners and all-purpose cleaners should be avoided. Clean up spills promptly using a damp cloth. Regular dusting is important to prevent the buildup of dust particles that can dull the surface and cause fine scratches. Protect the surfaces with coasters, placemats, and tablecloths. Keep pine furniture away from direct sunlight to prevent fading and drying out.

Granite
To maintain the beauty of granite surfaces, regular cleaning with soap and water is sufficient. Avoid using abrasive powders or creams, as they can potentially damage the stone. It is advisable not to clean granite or other natural stones with abrasive sponges, scouring pads, or scrub brushes. After cleaning, ensure thorough drying to prevent water spots from forming. Avoid leaving water or cleaning agents on the natural stone surfaces.
Melamine
To clean melamine surfaces effectively, use warm water along with a clean rag, microfibre cloth, soft sponge, or soft brush. You can use regular domestic cleaners or soaps without abrasive ingredients. After cleaning, wipe the surface with fresh water to ensure no streaks form, removing all traces of the cleaning agents. Finally, dry the surface thoroughly using a clean, absorbent cloth or paper towels.
Bouclé Fabric
For bouclé fabric care, a soft-bristled brush is your best friend. Use it gently to brush and fluff up the fibres, removing any embedded dirt or pet hair. Remember to brush in the direction of the fabric’s weave to prevent tangling or fraying. Regular brushing not only maintains the fabric’s appearance but also enhances its softness and texture. Additionally, for general upkeep, we recommend using a vacuum cleaner with an upholstery attachment to remove any surface debris and keep your bouclé furniture looking its finest.
